I know I'm a newb, but it sure makes a deal feel better when everything feels right. He was familiar with the seller and his brother as they have apparently done a lot of business with them and assured me I wouldn't find better people to deal with. He was very helpful and offered help today and future support should I ever need it. The seller (original owner brother) reached out to the original machine dealer to ask some questions I had and this afternoon a guy from the place called me directly to help out and send me the procedure for backing up the parameters before we move it. This is a Yang ML15 from 96-97 with Fanuc OT control. I was able to work out a partial trade with a custom rifle I have plus cash to get this, which I think is nicer than most of what I had been looking at. I started looking for machines a few thousand less and was only really finding beat up, old junky looking stuff. The gentleman that has it has been more than helpful and friendly, that makes the deal feel better. So after looking at several lathes and searching for a while, I finally landed back on the Yang I found a few weeks ago. I started a thread looking for a lathe so figured it appropriate to start one now that I found one.
